With your arm raised out to your side in a 90 degree angle stand in an open doorway. Forearm points toward ceiling with upper arm extended horizontally. Place the vertical part of your arm against the doorframe. Begin taking half steps very gently while leaning forward.

Begin by keeping your back straight. Clasp both hands together while they are extended behind your body. Gently begin lifting your hands toward the ceiling. Remain in the final stretch position for 20 seconds. Gently return to the starting position and repeat as desired.

    Thanks for those exercises. I will definitely use them as I do sometimes get pain between my shoulder blades.

    I always blamed it on being kicked by a big cow when I was 13 years old, she cracked my shoulder blade. Then a very active life, falling off horses and motor bikes probably aggravated the problem.

      I once almost feel off a horse myself. People still joke with me about it to this day. Still have trouble seeing the humor, lol. But I did fall off a waterfall into class five rapids and almost die… does that count?

    My personal favorite of the Back Pain Between Shoulder Blades Relief stretches is the Door Frame Stretch. I do that on an almost daily basis. It’s a great stretch and I highly recommend it.

        Well, I personally like the Door Frame stretches because it allows you to stretch your arms and legs as well. Basically a full body stretch in a sense. When I’m working outside doing yard work, Raking, Shoveling, Pulling Weeds, etc I tend to do Back Bends every so often. Does wonders to keep you from being sore the next day.

    I experience slight back pain below the neck and between the shoulders after I go to the gym. So of course I’m not ready for more exercises. In this case I do use Real Time Pain Relief. That does the trick. When I use my weights with a dvd they show you exercises to relieve backaches after each part of the exercise. This is helpful as well. I’m sure the exercises given in this article will additionally prove helpful.
