The most common problem with aging is aging.  This is even truer when it comes to not exercising lower back muscles as you age.  Lower back muscles miss out most often because people are focused on strengthening their upper torso instead of lower back muscle.

There are however lower back muscle strength training exercises you can do to help keep your entire body in condition.  After all, what good is a nicely toned upper body when it is built on lower back muscle that cannot support it?

    There is another problem associated with ageing, that is we do not use a lot of our muscles regularly like we did in our younger years. We go for weeks without doing anything strenuous and then expect to be able to pick up something heavy like we did when we were 30.

    All the more reason to do regular strengthening exercises like these.

      Absolutely agree. If we want to maintain younger bodies to support us then we need to do things to support our bodies as they age because they aren’t going to be getting any younger in the foreseeable future.
